Can I bring my pet to the Casa da Praia properties? We’re sorry, but we do not accept pets / except for official guide dogs.

Can I smoke inside the property? Smoking is not allowed inside the properties. Most guests prefer a non-smoking environment. We have ashtrays for guest who wish to smoke outside.

Can you drink tap water in the Algarve? You should always drink bottled water to avoid the risk of illness.

Can you arrange extra cleaning, extra bed linen and towels during our holiday?  Yes that is not a problem. Just contact us for more information.

Do I need a hire car in the Algarve to get around? It really depends what sort of holiday you are after. It is always convenient to have a car and there are some fantastic places to visit in the Algarve, other parts of Portugal and even Spain. You can book to go on trips but if you are planning on doing a couple, it would probably be cheaper and more convenient to have a car. Also, if you wish to eat out in the evenings it would also be a good idea to have a car.

Can you provide a cot and high chair for my infant? Cots and highchairs can be booked. (surcharge apply) Children sleeping in cots must be under 2 years old and only one child per cot is allowed per cot.

How can i cancel my reservation? The person who made the booking is the one who needs to cancel the reservation. We only accept cancellation requests via email. We will send you a confirmation of your cancellation request. We recommend you to take out a travel insurance.

How big is the pool? The pool at the 3 bedroom cottage in Praia da Luz is 2×4 meters. The mosaic pool at the 7 bedroom villa is 5 x 8 meters. The pool is the villa in Sagres is 3 x 6 m. Children should be supervised at all times by adults, especially in the vicinity of the swimming pools.

How far is the airport? Distance Airport Faro – Praia da Luz = 115 km, airport Lisbon Praia da Luz = 295 km
Distance Airport Faro – Vila do Bispo = 135 km , airport Lisbon – Vila do Bispo = 326 km

Is there a hair dryer available? All our properties come with a hairdryer.

The use of the accommodation and the amenities are offered on the condition that they are used at the occupants’ own risk. We do not accept responsibility for accidents, injuries, illness, death, loss or damage to users’ or visitors’ property of belongings, including motor vehicles however caused. We accept no responsibility or liability of a loss or damage to personal items, or injury while staying in the property, or after departure of property. It is in your best interest to take out travel and medical holiday insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances, which may necessitate the cancellation of your booking. You should have adequate medical insurance and cover of your personal belongings for the duration of your vacation.

What is included in the property rental cost? We want our guests to arrive at their villas and get straight into holiday mode. Each of our properties comes complete with the following basic supplies to ensure your stay is comfortable: bed linen, towels, first rol of toilet paper, cleaning products, tea, coffee, pantry essentials, 1 garbage bag, dishwasher tablets or liquid and tea towels. If you would like to request anything be stocked before your arrival, please speak with one of our team members to arrange.

I would recommend to bring a jumper as it can be quite chilly in the evenings when the sun has gone down.

What is the closest town? Lagos town is the closest town. From Praia da Luz it is 5 min drive, From Vila do Bispo it is 20 min drive. From Sagres 25 min drive. You have the large local farmers market near the bus station every Saturday.

What time is the property available? Your holiday home will be available from 16 h on the day of your arrival. Please let us know our approximate arrival time at least 24 hrs in advance. A surcharge might be applied if you wish to check in early. We do not offer lugguage storage. Check out is at 10 h in the morning. 

What other activities are available in the surrounding area? Lots of them! We have brochures and information available to help you plan your time with us. You can choose from a number of outdoor activities including horse-riding, diving, boat trips, golf and micro-lighting to name just a few. Lagos itself is a very lively town in-season with a rich history and modern marina.

When is my booking confirmed? A booking will not be confirmed until the balance payment is made and unless the person who made the booking has completed the villa rental booking form. The signatory shall then be deemed as the agent on behalf of the party as indicated. To enable your booking to be confirmed, a reservation deposit of 50% of the total amount is required, with the remaining balance payable 62 days prior to travel. If a booking is made less than 62 days before travel, we will request full payment. We reserve the right to cancel a booking if payments are not received in time.

Will i need to pay a damage deposit? Yes there is a damage deposit to pay. The amounts depends on the type of property. We do a full inspection on the day of departure, and if there is no damage to the property or its contents we return the deposit to the account you paid with 2 weeks. Any damage, exessive cleaning,  loss or breakage are deducted at cost eg, the actual cost of repairs and replacements. 

How far is the beach? For guests staying in our 3 bedroom cottage in Praia da Luz, the beach is a 2 min walk from the house. For guest staying in our 7 bedroom villa in Praia da Luz, the beach is a 10 min walk. For guests staying in Vila do Bispo. The closest beaches are Cordoama and Castelejo. They are at 2 min drive from the house. For the house in Sagres the beach is at 5 min drive.

How will we find the property? Directions to the property are sent out shortly after your complete balance is settled.

Where do I park my car? All our properties  offer free parking, either right in front or close by. Our 7 bedroom villa and the villa in Sagres offers onsite parking.

Will an iron and an iron board be available at the property? All properties come with an iron and ironing board.

Will i need to bring travel adaptors with me? The properties are fitted with European (Portuguese) standard sockets.

Where can I surf best in the Algarve? There are plenty of great beaches to surf in the Algarve. If there is no surf in the South cost head to the West costs and the other way around.
